With more than three decades of hands-on experience gardening my own outdoor spaces – making lots of mistakes and learning from them – I’ve devised gorgeous low maintenance planting schemes bursting with fabulous flowers and foliage.
Gardening in two impressive stately house gardens, and working with incredible head gardeners chock full of technical horticultural information, has added tremendous depth to my self-taught knowledge.
Have you struggled with gardening in the past? Me too. Lots of failures in my early days as a gardener have given me valuable insights into common gardening blocks – lack of time/money/motivation/inspiration/energy – I can share the strategies I’ve developed to overcome them with you.
For over a decade I’ve worked with neurodivergent people, and understand how executive function difficulties can make projects like gardening challenging—another powerful reason to choose low maintenance plants.
So, what kind of gardens can I help you with?
I can help you start small, by suggesting you sow some seeds on a sunny windowsill. Or think bigger if you’d like to overhaul your entire garden. Perhaps somewhere between the two. It’s about encouraging you to have a go at growing stuff, even if you don’t have much time or space. Front doorsteps, shared balconies, hanging baskets—there are loads of possibilities for you. I’ve worked with people who have larger outdoor spaces too.
No flowerbeds? No problem. Everything I recommend can be grown in containers.
